Your Ballot Is In The Mail
The referendum ballot which lets you tell government if you want to keep the HST or return to the PST + GST method of taxation should be arriving in your mail box any day now. Providing the postal strikes keep rotating.
The Question?
According to the HST in BC website if you vote 'NO' it means you would like to keep the HST, which will be reduced to 11% in 2012 and 10% in 2014. If you vote 'YES' it means you would like to return to the 12% PST & GST.
