Pilot Rushed To Hospital After Crash
An experienced 71 year old pilot from Campbell River was six minutes into his eight minute routine when his plane appeared to lose power and crashed into the ground.
Described as having significant facial and internal injuries the pilot was rushed to the hospital with what is being described as life threatening injuries.
The rest of the air and car show was cancelled out of respect for the pilot and his family.
The accident happened at about 2:00 pm.
