Unique Tobacco Pouch Stolen
It is reported in the local daily that police are looking for a man who assaulted a woman on Bowen Road in the area of Howard Ave. who made his escape into Bowen Park.
The man approached the woman on Friday morning as she was walking to work, he asked for a cigarette and when the woman opened her tobacco pouch she was struck on the side of the head. The man then demanded her money, but she was able to fight him off and ran to a business near Howard Avenue where she called police.
The man is described as 5' 10" tall, clean shaven with short blonde hair and was wearing a sloppy brownish colored pair of pants and a dark blue sweater with light blue labels.
The tobacco pouch he stole was quite unique with non-English lettering on it, is is plastic, dark blue with a velcro strap.
