6.7 Earthquake Off Vancouver Island

Green Arrow Marks Location Of Quake

The USGS reported a 6.7 magnitude earthquake off the west coast of Vancouver Island at 12:41 PM today (Friday Sept. 9, 2011).

The quake was reported to be at a depth of 16.1 miles and is 138 km WSW of Campbell River and 279 km west of Vancouver.

At this time there is no Tsunami watch, warning or advisory in effect.

    Earthquake is one of the natural calamity that we can't control. People can predict it but they can't stop it.
