Showcase Nanaimo's Wonderful Heritage
Annual Paint Out Shoot Out Event
This event which is a joint effort of the Nanaimo Arts Council and the City of Nanaimo Heritage Commission helps promote the City's heritage and the local arts community.
Painters (including oils, acrylic, watercolour, ink, pastel, conte and pencil crayon) and photographers will meet at 10:00 am at the Nanaimo Museum on Sept. 10. Each person will choose a sealed envelope with the name and address of a local heritage building, then either paint or photograph the building.
Artists will return at 3:00 pm for judging and the distribution of cash prizes. Forms and fees are available at the Arts Council Gallery #259 Nanaimo North Town Centre Mall and by email at admin@nanaimoartscouncil.ca. You can call the Nanaimo Arts Council at 250-729-3947 for further information.
