Seeks Another Term As City Councillor
Popular local figure, Bill Bestwick whose name was synonymous with the Clippers for many years has announced his intentions to seek another term as city councillor. He will be filing his nominations papers Oct. 14 which is the final day to file.
Councilor Bestwick, along with Councilor Kipp were two members of city council who have consistently tried to bring more council oversight to the operations at city hall. The election of 2008 saw Bestwick garner the most votes of any candidate capturing a total of 10,759 votes of support and he also led the polls in 2005 with 9243 votes.
