BC Ferry Collison Investigated
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed an investigator following the collision of the ferry Queen of Coquitlam with the terminal facility at Departure Bay in Nanaimo. The incident took place on Nov. 18, 2011.
The TSB will gather information from the site and assess the occurrence. The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. It's sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. The Board does not assing fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
