Nanaimo All Candidates Meeting Nov. 10

Hosts All Candidates Meeting

Beban Park Auditorium, November 10, 2011
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

  • Meet the candidates in person from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. 
  • Hear them discuss the issues, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  
  • Moderated by Mark Forsythe of CBC Radio
This is the last all candidates forum before the civic election on Nov. 19, so if you haven't already met the candidates and want to know their position on issues of importance to you, this is your chance!

So get informed and get involved and remember YOU are the most important segment of a properly functioning democracy.

Democracy is far too important to be left to elected and non-elected officials.

    Beban Park social Centre was well attended. Each speaker spoke for a short time about many issues included a few "hot button" issues. George Anderson, the only black candidate for council, spoke with the most elequance. I think he would add a lot of color and youth to council. Roger McKinnon spoke well too. All in all, it was a great forum! RB
