Horse Trolley Ride Downtown Nanaimo

The Original Eco-Friendly Transport

As part of the Christmas Season in downtown Nanaimo, you can take an enjoyable ride throughout downtown and the Old City Quarter on a horse drawn trolley.

The team of Belgian draft horses seem to pull the trolley effortlessly through the streets of downtown Nanaimo as they steadily 'clip-clop' along the paved streets. If you would like to experience what once was the only way to get around, you can catch a ride on either Dec. 10 or 17 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM downtown, by donation.

It's a great way to let your kids (and yourself) enjoy a reminder of less hectic times, when a horse got you where you wanted to go, just as fast as you needed to be there.
