Watch Your $16,000,000.00 Being Spent!
Perhaps this is city managers idea of being open and transparent when it comes to the new city hall annex. A few of the questions still not answered, and hidden away in secret behind the 'In Camera' veil are:
- Why choose to spend $16 million, when $4 million would have upgraded the existing building?
- Why no consultants report prepared showing a cost/benefit analysis to renovating or building new?
- Why the sudden urgency?
- Why won't councilors bring this whole matter out into the open, are they afraid to have to stand behind their decisions?
- Why was a $12 million building contract awarded without going to public tender?
