Activity Guide Cover Contest
Do you have a picture that captures life in Nanaimo? The City of Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture department would like to share it with the city on the cover of the upcoming spring/summer Activity Guide. If you have an image of people enjoying city parks, taking part in recreation activities or exploring our local culture, you are encouraged to submit it. Three selected images will be placed on the city’s facebook page and fans will then choose the winning picture to grace the cover of the upcoming fall/winter guide. Submissions must be received by Friday, January 13th.
“Apart from the actual release date of the guides, this contest is the best part of the Activity Guide process,” exclaims Suzanne Samborski, Senior Manager of Recreation and Culture. “The images we receive always remind us of why we do what we do, and why we all live here!”
Submitted images must feature at least one person to a maximum of three people enjoying Nanaimo’s parks, recreation programs or cultural activities. Images must be high resolution (minimum 350 dpi) and of high quality to qualify. Photos should clearly represent the spring/summer seasons and what Nanaimo’s lifestyle is all about. People pictured must also be willing to sign photo releases.
