Increase 13% Over 2011

Prices Increase 6%

The average sale price increased in January 2012 by 6% to $360,799.00. compared with  $340,482.00 in January 2011.  For the month of January 2012 total number of sold homes in Nanaimo increased from 55 units in January 2011 to 62 units for the month representing a decrease of 13%.

The prices on Vancouver Island seem to have not been subject to the same swings as other areas of the country. Nanaimo average house prices are still below their peak of $379,291 reached in Nov. 2008.
