A blistering 386 microprocessor at 20MHZ, 2 MB (not Gb) of RAM expandable to 16MB, included a floppy drive as there was no hard drive in this unit. The monitor and mouse were also extra.
If our taxes were dropping at the same rate as the cost of a computer since 1989 we'd all be laughing! This is a good example of what free enterprise can do, it can provide an infinitely superior product for a huge price reduction. Now, compare that to the performance of government supplied services!
