Must Refund Fees
Consumer Protection BC has ordered Cash Store Financial also known as The Cash Store or Instaloans to refund fees they had unlawfully charge their customers.
An investigation found that the Cash Store had charged customers more than the legal amount of $23 per $100 on payday loans. The company appealed the decision which delayed enforcement until now. The Cash Store has 90 days to refund their customers.
The company website shows three locations in Nanaimo, #4, 6338 Metral Drive 250-390-1664, 1150 Terminal Avenue North, 250-740-0009 and 1601 Bowen Road, 250-753-4996.
