Cedar Waxwing in Nanaimo at Buttertubs Marsh

Cedar Waxwing In Buttertubs Marsh

Local photo artist, Sheryl Falls caught this stunning photo of a Cedar Waxwing munching on some Hawthorne berries in Buttertub Marsh the other day.

If you look closely you can see that the berry is actually in mid-air and you can even see the birds tongue as he grabs his lunch.

During the same outing Sheryl also snapped this handsome fellow, whether he was actually fishing or checking out his reflection is a mystery, but there is no mystery about the incredible bounty of outdoor beauty we have right within the city limits of Nanaimo. Do you enjoy them?
