Good News For The E&N Rail Line?

Rail Announcement Tuesday in Langford

The Goldstream News Gazette reports that Graham Bruce the chief operating officer of Island Corridor Foundation will be making an announcement Tuesday morning in Langford regards funding for the E&N Rail Line.

Conservative MPs James Lunney and Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan are scheduled to attend, signaling the announcement will hopefully allow the ICF to get on with repairing the E&N track and then restoring full rail service on the Island.

Let's hope we hear that whistle blowin' once again on the E&N Rail Line connecting Victoria to the south with Courtenay to the north and of course Nanaimo right in the middle. A recent letter writing campaign may have finally paid off, meaning we might see some of our hard earned federal tax dollars being reinvested right here on Vancouver Island.
