Parking Was At A Premium
The sudden springlike weather that rolled into Nanaimo on the weekend brought Nanaimoites out in droves to enjoy our wonderful great outdoors and the many benefits of harbour city living.
The parking lot at Maffeo Sutton was about as full as it is in the summer during an event, except the only event was getting out and enjoying our wonderful parks.
All along the waterfront there were happy smiling faces as we all welcomed the respite from what seems to have been a long dreary winter this year. Down at the other end of the waterfront, Trollers Fish and Chips were open early and doing a land office business. Of course, there was no place in Maffeo Sutton Park to grab a quick bite, which surely could add positively to a trip to the park on such a memorable day.
