In Downtown Nanaimo
Saturday Jly 21 9:30 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sail Past on Wheels Fun Parade in downtown Nanaimo starts at 10:30 am. This years salute and theme is "50th Anniversary of the Oak Bay Tea Party'.
Lots of fun stuff in downtown Nanaimo from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, sidewalk sales, pancake breakfasts, entertainment for everyone.
At Maffeo Sutton Park and Swy-a-lana Lagoon
Marine Festival Food Fare and fund displays in Maffeo Sutton Park 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Bavarian Garden hosted by the Loyal Order of the Moose is open in the Basketball Court at Maffeo SuttonPark from 12:00 Noon - 7:00 pm.
Youth Talent Show 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm on the Tim Hortons Stage in Maffeo Sutton Park.
Tim Hortons Entertainment Stage in Maffeo Sutton Park live entertainment starts at 12:00 noon with something for everyone from the children to the adults in the crowd. There will be live performers on stage through to 10:00 pm.
FIREWORKS Display put on by Quality Foods starting at 10:00 pm, Regional District buses will be available to the fireworks from 6:00 pm - 12:00 midnight as downtown parking will be very limited.

"GREAT RACE" Day
FREE Parking at Bastion Street Parkade from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
In The Harbour By Maffeo Sutton Park & Swy-a-lana Lagoon
Clearing The Harbour for the "Great Race" Start at 10:30 am.
11:00 AM SHARP with the firing of the 5th Field Battery Howitzer the 46th Annual "Great" International Bathtub Race is underway leaving from the inner harbour with viewing from Maffeo Sutton Park and Swy-a-lana Lagoon.
Departure Bay Beach - Race Finish Line
12:00 Noon - 5:00 pm at Departure Bay Beach the Food Fare opens with food, displays and amusements.
Bathtubs can be expected at the finish line from sometime after 12:00 noon depending on weather conditions. The Official Finish Line is at Departure Bay Beach where weary, weather beaten tubbers have to run across the beach and up the stairs to ring the bell to officially have completed the race.
Is there a bus serviuce to get to Departure Bay, for the Bath Tub Race? There is never any advertising about that.. Come on, if you want people interested, make it possible to get to the venues.
