Swimmers and Sunbathers Flock To Long Lake
This past week has seen a remarkable turnaround in the weather. We have just come off one of the coolest and wettest Junes on record and the first few days of July weren't much more promising.
However, yesterday and especially today under sunny blue skies and soaring temperatures most of Nanaimo headed for their favourite swimmin' hole. This shot was taken at Long Lake which not only had swimmers and sun tanners covering the shore, but the roar of speed boats could be heard as water skiers ripped across the lake.
