Many Popular Spots To Cool Off In Nanaimo
Locals Kathy Robinson, Grace Dean, Joshua Dean and Tyler Robinson enjoyed cooling off at Piper's Lagoon yesterday where the sun-baked lagoon warms on low tide and heats up the returning tide, making it a great saltwater swimming hole.
In addition the returning tide provides a great current that provides a free ride you can enjoy by simply allowing yourself to float on the current which flows from Hammond Bay back into the Lagoon.
While there, this happy bunch enjoyed several free rides courtesy of the rushing tide. This is just another one of those benefits of the Nanaimo Lifestyle that we locals can enjoy in the great outdoors under clear blue skies while breathing ocean fresh air.
