Bastion Street Construction
Bastion Street from the Bastion Street bridge to Front Street will be getting resurfaced over the next three days, with work starting on Sept. 18th from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Originally the work was to start on Sept. 17th but a glitch at the asphalt plant has meant the project has to be moved forward one day.
On Tuesday Sept. 18th the section of Bastion Street from the bridge to Commercial Street will be repaved and on the 19th and 20th the section from Commercial Street to Front Street will be repaved also.
Traffic through the Bastion St./Commercial St. intersection will be controlled by a flag person during construction. The businesses on Commercial Street will be open and this construction will not affect traffic with the exception of some minor delay at the Bastion St. intersection.
