FISHERY NOTICE - Red Tide Warning
Effectively immediately most of the area surrounding Nanaimo is closed to the harvesting of all bivalve shellfish due to unacceptable levels of marine Biotoxin (Red Tide).
Area 17
Effective immediately there is a harvest prohibition for all bivalve shellfish in Subareas 17-1 to 17-5, 17-6 to 17-8, and 17-13 to 17-16. The most recent marine biotoxin results were unacceptable.
