Exercise Caution Avoid Slips & Spills

 Winter Trail Conditions In Nanaimo

As the temperature continues to dip and winter rains come, the City of Nanaimo’s Parks, Recreation and Culture department wants to remind you to be careful and use caution when using trails, boardwalks, stairs, and bridges. Many of the trails and even playground equipment can become wet and slippery this time of year. In addition to the low temperatures and winter rains fall vegetation and the darker evenings can also make the ground slippery and hard to see.

Nanaimo, Parks, Recreation and Culture encourage all users of the parks and trails systems to use caution when in the parks and on the trails, and to be aware of the conditions that comes with the cold weather.

To report concerns or issues in the parks and on the trails please contact Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture at 250-756-5200 or email askprc@nanaimo.ca.
