Fewer Beds Used This Year

The above report on CTV news indicates a surprising drop in the number of shelter beds being used this year. The new housing facility on Wesley Street is thought to be partially the reason as chronic homeless people are now being housed.

It was not reported how the reduced use may impact the income paid to the New Hope Centre or the Emergency Cold Weather Shelter on Townsite Road.
