Hostess Closure Contributes To Twinkie Panic!

Pending Twinkie Shortage Sparks ebay Selling Frenzy

The news that Hostess has decided to close it's operations as a result of an unresolved labour dispute has ignited a Twinkies explosion on ebay.

As you can see from the above listing a high value is being placed on some collections of this American staple with this one owner being willing to part with his collection for a mere  $283,330.38. Given that the half-life of a Twinkie is something approaching 200 years this could be a sound investment to round out some people's portfolios.

Considering  that Hostess pumped out some 500 million Twinkies annually, their closure is sure to create a huge demand in the marketplace so this could be a much better investment than those junk stocks that Wall Street keeps flogging.
