Justin Robert Bournon - Drug Trafficking Charge


Search Warrant Nets Cash & Cocaine

The search of two homes by Nanaimo RCMP resulted in the arrest of two adults on drug charges and the seizure of almost 20 grams of packaged cocaine and $11,000 dollars in Canadian currency.

On Wednesday November 14th at approximately 8:30 PM, two homes in the 600 block of Nova St were searched by officers with a General Investigation Unit. Two adults, a 25 year old male and a 44 year old female were located and arrested without incident. Officers believe individuals were actively using both homes to sell their drugs for the past several months.

Justin Robert BOURNON was held in custody and appeared in Nanaimo Provincial court on Thursday November 15th on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act(CDSA). At the time of his arrest, BOURNON was facing similar drug charges from a search of his previous home in early November of 2011. Those charges are still before the courts. The female arrested along with BOURNON was released on a Promise to Appear. Police are also recommending charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Under the CDSA.

After BOURNON appeared in Nanaimo Provincial court on Thursday November 15th he was released from custody and issued with a court date of December 4th, 2012.
