Christmas shopping season is officially underway! As you arrange your holiday shopping calendar, be sure to include the Nanaimo Christmas Market. This year, the event is running Friday, November 16 to Sunday, November 18th, at Beban Park Social Centre. The Market offers shoppers a selection of quality, locally made unique treasures from over 80 vendors. Products will include homemade licorice, jewelry, jams and jellies, photography, soaps, wood carvings, and lotions. Admission is still only $2.00.
Make your outing to the Market a family affair. Santa’s Workshop will be open for children to take part in holiday activities such as face painting, crafts and reindeer games. Santa’s Workshop hours will be Friday 3-7pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
To make it a truly winter themed outing, participate in a Family or Everyone Welcome Skate session at Frank Crane Arena over the weekend. Skate times are: Saturday 1:15-2:45pm, Sunday 10:45-11:45am and 12pm-1:30pm. There are also Everyone Welcome swim times at Beban Pool, Saturday 2-4pm and Sunday 1:30-4pm.
