Next Phase Of Port Place Reno Moving Along
Machinery and crews are busy at work setting forms in place to provide the foundations for the next phase of the Port Place Mall renovation. It would seem the owners of this downtown shopping centre have confidence this new space will bring new businesses into what was once Nanaimo's only covered shopping centre.
This site used to be the epicentre of shopping for all of Nanaimo long before the steady march northward to Country Club Mall, Nanaimo North Town Centre (once known as Rutherford Mall) and of course Nanaimo and the Islands premier shopping centre Woodgrove Mall which now has the distinction of being Nanaimo's largest single taxpayer.
