This week the city of Nanaimo has added the Balanced Scorecard to their website which is designed to provide information about Nanaimo through a number of different perspectives.
The scorecard is interactive and by clicking on different categories you can link to more information about your city.
For example under the heading of 'Customer' the following categories are covered:
- Business satisfaction w/services
- Hotel occupancy rate
- Satisfaction with City services
- Satisfaction with communications
- Value for taxes (businesses)
- Value for taxes (citizens)
City Director of Finance, Mr. B. Clemens gave a short presentation at the last Committee of the Whole meeting this past Monday. He noted that the scorecard had been all done in-house without any outside assistance.
