Murder charges have been laid in connection with the death of a male whose body was discovered in an apartment on Rock City Rd early Wednesday evening.
27 year old Aaron Roger HARVEY has been charged with second degree murder and remanded into police custody until February 19th. The deceased has been identified as the accused biological father, 69 year old Roger HARVEY. Both Aaron Harvey and his father Roger shared an apartment and had resided in the same apartment for several years without incident.
Roger HARVEY sustained injuries and died in his apartment however the exact cause of his death is yet to be determined. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Monday February 18th in Nanaimo. Hopefully it will assist in identifying the cause of Roger Harvey’s death,said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
