A Cultural Plan for a Vibrant and Creative City
Workshop Sessions with Gord Hume

Wednesday February 13, 2013
2 Sessions: 1:30 – 3:30 pm and 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Coast Bastion Inn, Benson Ballroom
Both sessions are open to the public and are free.

Gord Hume has spoken at conferences in Asia, Europe, and the United States and across Canada. He has become recognized as one of Canada’s leading authorities and commentators on Creative Cities, Cultural Planning, and the dramatic rise of the importance of municipal government on our rapidly changing communities and society.

Gord has spoken to many Municipal Councils across Canada, as well as major municipal conferences and conventions. He has been the keynote speaker at such significant international conferences as the UNESCO Creative Cities Conference in South Korea.

Gord is an accomplished workshop facilitator on cultural planning and will lead us in developing a clear vision for culture and assist us in establishing priorities for future cultural development in Nanaimo.
