Nanaimo Ranks 88 Out of 200 Cities In Canada
Money Sense has now released the list of Best Places to Live in Canada and also highlights best communities for specific interest, such as Best Place To Retire, Best Place To Raise Kids etc. To view the complete study visit their website HERE.
To view the top 25 best places to retire in all of Canada click HERE . Nanaimo ranks 22 out of 25 best places to retire with our neighbours to the south snagging first and second with Victoria first and Saanich second.
There are a couple of interesting comparisons between ourselves and Victoria and Saanich.
Note: I don't really how much stock you can put in these studies. If you are high on the list, I am sure you think they are great, if on the other hand you are low on the list, or didn't make the list, you probably think they are just nonsense.
That said, using the same study for the past three years, while being included in the best 200 cities in all of Canada is nothing to be sneezed at, and indeed should give us some bragging rights, it should be noted we have slowly been loosing ground over the past three years. In 2011 we ranked 36/200, in 2012 we ranked 74/200 and in 2013 we ranked 88/200.
