Councillor Greves Thinks Kipp Playing Silly Bugger?

Saving Tax Dollars Likened To Playing Silly Bugger?

Councillor Ted Greves refered to the attempt by Councillors Kipp, Bestwick and McKay to find tax savings as 'playing silly buggar', at the recent city council meeting.

There can be little doubt that Councillor Ted Greves falls into the 'tax and spend' camp when it comes to running our city, but referring to other councillors trying to actually SAVE tax dollars as 'playing silly buggar' really puts the cherry on top.

In an almost ironic turn of events, Greves later brought a motion which saved taxpayers $54,000 which has resulted in a special council meeting Thursday night.

It is funny how the fact that this council FINALLY did something to lower taxes this year by $54,000 came as the result of such theatrical drama.

Wonder how much they could have saved if they had applied the same effort this past four months??

Maybe they should play 'silly bugger' more often. They seemed to accomplish more than they have this past four months.
