Empire Days Family Fun Addition

Family Fun A Popular Addition To Parade

This year Diana Krall Plaza was a hub of free, family fun as the Empire Days Society expanded an already popular event on parade day.

The plaza was home to a pancake breakfast with funds raised helping the Kinsmen club, there were bouncy castles, magicians, an entertainment troupe,  balloon artists, a ride, lots of different food and more.

I got to the Plaza around 11:00am and the place was packed with lots and lots of young families with Nanaimo's newest citizens enjoying was a great day in Nanaimo is all about.

Of course they took a break from all this free fun stuff, to watch the free, fun parade that began at 1:00 pm.

A perfect day, with perfect weather in our own little perfect piece of paradise.
