Colliery Dams Group Spreads Word

While at the Bowen Road Farmers' Market stocking up on fresh veggies I spotted a couple of members of the Colliery Dams Preservation Society explaining to interested Market goers just what is going on with the dams in Colliery Dam Park.

Judging by the traffic at their table there is a lot of interest in the fate of the two ponds which are the features that will be lost this summer on the path the city is pursuing.

This issue has dominated local news since last November and looks as if it will continue to dominate throughout this summer.

Unless, of course city hall has an epiphany and realizes the course they are on is likely the most destructive thing they have done to shatter public confidence in the 'leadership' at city hall since they declared the old annex unsafe, and proceeding to spend $16,000,000 on what is arguably an unneeded building.
