If you are used to those imitation strawberries that come from far, far away which usually look far better than they taste .... do yourself a favour and head down to Dudink's Garden and U-Pick Berry Farm in South Wellington.

The strawberries are very ripe, delicious and ready for picking, starting this Thursday, June 13. Their hours this year are going to be 8 a.m.-3 p.m., daily, closed on Sundays.

Although it is difficult to predict with accuracy, since the berries are so early, they might end earlier. Also, their crop is smaller this year than last, so you are encouraged to pick or order your berries earlier rather than later. 

For pre-picked berries, it is best to order ahead to ensure they have the quantity you want.They will have ever-bearing strawberries that continue through the summer into October or November.

Dudkinks farm is located on 20 acres in pastoral South Wellington which is a perfect place to bring the kids and give them a taste of rural life. There is a small playhouse to amuse the young ones and visitors are encouraged to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this delightful setting.
