Show Your Support of The Colliery Dam Park
Colliery Dam Preservation spokesman Jeff Solomon is encouraging everyone living in the city who doesn't want to lose the Colliery Park Lakes this summer, to make a noise about it.
Jeff is calling for everyone who cares to make a noise at 6:00 pm to show your support for keeping the lakes in the park intact this summer until they can be replaced next year.
Some have suggested you 'Bang - Clang- Honk - Toot' on the hour from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and then at 10:00 pm one more time, with the addition of flicking your porch lights to show your support.
This is not a one time event, it will become a nightly event until city hall finally listens to the people of Nanaimo and proceeds with a proper plan for the dams.
