Nanaimo Daily News - Dam Alternatives

Daily Offers Another Perspective

In the Nanaimo Daily News online (paid) version of their publication they have a front page story covering the proposal by CanBuild to replace both dams for $8.6 million which offers the benefit of silt control in the winter. The full version of that proposal can be seen on this website by clicking here.

They have an opinion piece explaining the importance of Chief White's concern about he citys' approach and explains why four Councillors don't agree with the hurried motion to move forward.

If you click the above image it links to the online paid version of the Daily, which I find well worth the $10/mo. subscription fee. The thing I like about the online version is that it is always delivered on time, and never winds up in the puddle beside my front door.
