Bathtub Days Street Fair
Friday, July 26th and Saturday, July 27th
9am to 5pm

The Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association present’s the popular Bathtub Days Street Fair that will take over Commercial Street on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 from 9am to 5pm with additional entertainment from 6pm – 8pm on Commercial Street between Wallace and Terminal Avenue.

There will be non-stop live music, dance and performing arts, roving entertainment and acts on the street and on stage in Diana Krall Plaza. There will be a pancake breakfast both days; craft and local food vendors, artists and a local business market as well as an import market, will stretch the length of Commercial Street.

New this year, Victoria Crescent will also be closed to traffic to make way for a car show both days! Diana Krall Plaza will turn into a kid’s fun zone with bouncy castles as well as a “hamster cage” for the tiny ones, a large craft tent for aspiring artists and a shaded tent to sit, relax and enjoy your breakfast or burger and watch fabulous local talent on the entertainment stage.

Friendly competitions 

Friday; who can eat watermelon the fastest and who has the best Nanaimo Bar!

Saturday, Commercial Street will be the place to be to prove your waiting skills with the Waiter’s Race at 1pm, this year’s course will have a few extra twists and turns and will challenge all skill levels.

Come downtown, have breakfast at one of our fabulous restaurants or try the pancake breakfast on the Plaza, watch the parade on Saturday morning, stay for some performances and maybe even start your Christmas shopping!
