FREE Sessions During Sampler Week

For most of us the beginning of September means a return to routine. The City of Nanaimo Parks Recreation and Culture department offers over a thousand programs each season so we know choosing a program that fits within that routine can be overwhelming at times. To make it a bit easier the Department is hosting a free ‘Sampler Week’ this month featuring a number of programs and drop in sessions for you or a family member to try. ‘Sampler Week’ will run Saturday, September 7- Friday, September 13. While the sessions will be free, registration is required.

“We’ve put together a week full of programs that we hope will appeal to a wide array of interests and ages. Sessions are being offered at different recreation centres and at different times throughout the week,” explains Tara Fedosoff, Recreation Coordinator. “We want to encourage people to try as many programs as they can over the course of the week and find their place within our programs.”

For more information about ‘Sampler Week’ turn to page 3 of the latest fall/winter Activity Guide or call the Department’s main switchboard at 250 756 5200.
