Canada Post Stopping Home Delivery

neither rain no snow nor ......................
didn't count on email!

Canada Post has announced they are discontinuing home delivery of mail in urban areas, opting to provide mail delivery via those community boxes you already see all over.

With the advent of email providing everything from greeting cards to bills, it is no real surprise that delivering mail to your door is no longer viable. In fact, the only thing I won't be getting will be all that unwanted junk mail.

I guess, unless everyone takes to direct deposit their will still be a need to use the post office to deliver pension cheques and the like. Making the trip to the community box could have unexpected health benefits if it encourages more walking.
