Celebrate Lunar New Year at the Nanaimo Museum and Vancouver
Island Conference Centre! The event features Chinese performances, cultural
activities and the popular Lion Dance.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 25 from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Family activities at the museum are from 12:00-3:00. The Lion Dance will be performed in the museum at 1:00 pm by Jacky Li, a local martial arts and Lion Dance instructor.
Cultural performances will take place in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre from 1:30-3:30. The Year of the Horse celebration is hosted in partnership by the Nanaimo Museum, Chinese Cultural Society, Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society and new partners the Vancouver Island Conference Centre and Downtown Nanaimo BIA. Admission to Lunar New Year is by donation.
