When trees were trees and men were men




A friend sent along a copy of an old photograph of some 'pre-chainsaw' logs from way back in the day. The original was a black and white and I took the liberty of doing a little photo shop magic with it.

No one is really certain where these pictures were taken but they are a great example of what old-growth timber is all about. Can anyone tell me if there are any places left in B.C. where specimens like this could be seen?

It is presumed to be a Douglas Fir based on some information on another photograph but species and location of this tree aren't confirmed. Any comments?
