This is one of my favourite times of year, as all the new growth comes out of bud and springs forth as one season turns into another. It won't be long before all the trees will be clothed in that glorious green of a new season.
A quick stroll about our wee yard yielded the above, ranging from the yellow Forsythia, the white blanket of fragrant white on the Evergreen Clematis, and the 'just budding' new leaves on the Chestnut to finally the daintly blue Grape Hyacinths on the bottom.
The lighting wasn't good enough to capture the many patches of tiny violets we have about the yard, they are the tiniest of flowers, with a fragrance unrivaled. Three or four of the tiny blooms in the house are absolutely heavenly.
