Under perfect blue skies and balmy weather Nanaimo welcomed the Grand Princess cruise ship to our sunny, hospitable shores.
Many people on the cruise chose to check out our lovely city rather than taking one of the many excursions offered, and I am happy to report they were not disappointed. Nanaimo had the red carpet out and a warm welcome to all who sampled some Nanaimo hospitality.
Our Mayor was available in front of the iconic Great National Land building where he offered help and information to those who stopped for a chat. Of course he also had a tempting plate of our signature Nanaimo bars which were gladly received.
It was a perfect day, blue skies, balmy but not too hot ........ just right. Another day in paradise!
