I grabbed this pic the other day as a small house sparrow waited patiently (or not so patiently) as his much larger feathered cousin, a young Flicker took his turn at the feeder.
At one point the much smaller sparrow flew towards the dish, as if to land, but seeing the Flicker was not impressed, wisely returned to his waiting stance on his perch.
