The recent Super-Moon prompted me and the missus to trundle up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain to take in this not-to-common event.
The view of Departure Bay and the rest of Nanaimo from the top of Sugarloaf has always been one of my favourite vantage points. It is an easy assent, even for an old guy and the view from the top never fails to please.
The only disappointment, if you will, is the fact that many of the people that have enjoyed the view from this location seem to think that leaving their cigarette butts and garbage behind is a good idea.
