Deer and Fawn On Railway Crossing
On Canada Day while heading up Comox Road at about 1:00 pm this mama 'Bambi' and her fawn made their way across the road at the railroad crossing. Luckily for them there was nearly no traffic in either direction as they made they way along the rail line headed south.
This same picture was taken a block south of Comox Road and it shows mama and little one making their was along the rail road right of way. I couldn't help but wonder if we don't have the making of a really good grass fire along this rail line as it would seem the rail company is doing nothing about controlling vegetation.
