Join Nanaimo Ratepayers Association Today!

Add YOUR Voice To Hold the Line on Taxes!

The Nanaimo Ratepayers Association recently passed the one year mark which saw the election of their directors for the coming year at their AGM held June 12 at Beban Park.

A primary focus of the organization over the coming months is to increase their membership, which currently stands at 120 and is growing weekly as word gets out. The organization will be embarking on a membership drive and public awareness campaign over the coming weeks and months which will include signs and public information appearances at our summer festivals and other events around town.

Every single member adds to the strength of the Nanaimo Ratepayers voice at city hall. City council does listen, and they listen best to LOUD voices, which is the intent of the Nanaimo Ratepayers Association.

The association recently published their vision and mission statement on their website www.NanaimoRatepayers.com which states:

OUR VISION

To be the leading, influential voice of residents for responsible spending by the City of Nanaimo.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to be advocating for sustainable, transparent, accountable and responsible spending by local governments so that taxpayers' interests and voices are represented and heard at Nanaimo City Hall.
