Colliery Dam Park supporters rallied outside the city office on Franklyn Street Wednesday afternoon to draw attention to the fact the city is wanting to spend $8 million before they have all the 'dam' facts.
They are claiming the technical committee of which they were members has not fulfilled it's mandate to find the least invasive, least intrusive and cost effective solution to what some see is not a problem if the dams are simply left alone.
Jeff Solomon will be making himself available Aug. 7,8 at 6:00pm at the lower spillway where he invites everyone to come and hear the 'dam facts' about this whole process and what he sees wrong with the direction the city is heading with their rush to an $8 million solution that would be very destructive to the park.
